Even though David's trip to New York was Idol-related, it was his first trip after Season 7 had ended, and David -- and I think the rest of us -- felt this wonderful sense of freedom and release.It was during my original viewing of this series of photos that I first noticed the almost mystical "glow" of David and how the light emanating from his eyes reflected his beautiful spirit. I remember how the song "This Little Light of Mine" instantly came to mind at the time. I remember this photo and some companion photos well. It was the first time we had seen David out & about—Archuwalking, Archutalking, Archulaughing, and we were in a state of Archumania. A year later, most fans have packed our bags and moved to Davidland. His trip to NYC was wonderful. I still miss him singing "Stand by Me!" Was that the first time we saw the 'hunker-down'?
