I came across this video of David Archuleta today and though it is very short, it totally captivated me.
In the span of a few seconds David displays his enjoyment of life, his caring for his cousin, and how ‘unruffled’ he is with his celebrity status. He never looks upset being filmed, just goes about enjoying his life and taking care of those around him. It’s the very ‘naturalness’ that captivates me.
To me this speaks volumes about how strong and true to himself he is staying in spite of the celebrity that has overtaken him this past year. My wish for David is that he will always be this natural, casual, and caring – no matter how many unexpected videos that are taken of him in the future.

Its always great to see him hanging out with his family. he has so much fun with them. his sister Claudia was sitting behind he and his cousin and I love how he got up and checked to see if both his cousin and sister were ok before hoping out and moving on to the next ride I am guessing. I bet he is alot of fun to hang out with.

Gosh! Isn’t he handsome! Thanks for sharing this. I’m glad he had this chance to hang out with his siblings and cousins. He works so hard and deserves to take five once in a while. He did remark that the rides were not good for his voice. Always thinking of “The Voice!”
David has obviously become, if not exactly comfortable, at least used to being the target of attention everywhere he goes. Everyone else in his group makes note of and looks at the camera, but David acts as though it doesn’t exist, except for hightailing it out of there!
I loved this little video. Also when I clicked on it, it led me to another video of David helping a little girl…so sweet. He amazes me over and over with his humble and gentle nature. He really is such a special young man.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I admire him more and more as every time!
I love seeing David out and about with his family, doing things someone his age would enjoy.
I also noticed that when I clicked on your video it took me to another link which shows David being kind to a young child. So sweet! Honestly, he is such a kind, down to earth young man. He is so thoughtful and I am always in awe of the way he conducts himself. He is a very special person. Not only talented with music, he is also an incredible role model.
