Fansites

At a brief glance on many other Fansites of David I noticed material posted about American Idol and its contestants and assured myself it was a slow day and they had nothing else to post.  After more searching of the material I realize a lot of information has been posted not always pertaining to David and his career.  Second guessing is not what I want to do, but after several discussions with other fans I am not alone in my concern that there should be more attention paid to David and promoting him instead of other artists.  Afterall they are fansites for David Archuleta.  David is a great promoter of other artists and recognizing their ability and talents and so do the rest of us, but I would like more being said about David, his talent, his upcoming album, his tour, other shows he may be on and more interest on what is next for him.  Perhaps other interviews with people that can give us more of an insight on what’s going on with David at the present time.

My idol is and always will be David Archuleta.  I want the attention brought back where it belongs.  David still needs his fans and we need David.  Please do all you can to support him — he is definitely worth working for.  Thank you to all his loyal fans who are working so hard to keep him in our hearts.

I agree! If there were 48 hours in a day, maybe — just maybe — I would promote some of the other musicians I enjoy. But given my limit of 24 hours, and deducting sleep time and other “unimportant” but necessary activities, such as eating, I will remain focused on Mr. David Archuleta!

You are so right about this. David is the only one I care to spend a huge amount of time on. Promoting him is something I choose to do and I do it willingly. I too get frustrated with the many people/places that are supposed to be promoting David. I have many questions and few answers! Questions like….Why doesn’t the radio play his songs more? Why won’t VH-1 put his videos up any longer for us fans to vote for? Why won’t Jive release his most popular songs? Oh I am startng to get my dander up!

At least I know that I can come here and find others who feel the same way I do about David. With time, patience and help from us true fans…David will remain on top!

    Take care all,
    Katie

pikepss, you’ve definitely taken us to task…the question is what matters most? Does it matter that other artists are in print? This may be the inevitable nature of the beast. Or does it matter HOW MANY VOTES are cast for David? What different music recognition awards are at the top of the heap that we can help David win? I may not be alone in wishing for a guiding light to show me which sites to vote at THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Voting at sites that really count towards David’s being heard/seen. We can help David’s music expand to all corners of the World – perhaps this means starting in our own back yards, or perhaps it means reaching across the Universe. Whatever, it needs to count. DA Buzzing can create a log of these sites for us to visit on a regular basis, as part of every day’s tasks. And at the end of the day, David would be our choice! On another note, a peer honor, such as the Grammy would establish David in a realm we all know he is deserving: that of pure talent. What is the process to get David’s record company to nominate him for a Grammy? http://www.grammy.com/GRAMMY_Awards/Voting/
How much of our work should be directed towards David’s sales or chart positions? How much effort should we direct towards other venues – those that support David and recognize his artistry? How concentrated do our efforts need to be for each venue? Do we need to delegate a representative journalist to submit interesting, fact-filled articles and video to pertinent publishers? An author for DA Buzzing could have a regular column in several online periodicals. We may be on the way to becoming organized!
