Caroling along with David Archuleta

Wouldn’t the world be a better place if all of us could sing like David Archuleta? It’s a lofty goal, and David has a new Christmas singing game to help us learn to sing better. I know I could use some help before I join my neighborhood carolers.

It’s called the Christmas from the Heart Open Mic game and David is the first artist to customize a XMAS singing game for your iPhone and iPod Touch. You can sing along with him on carols such as, “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “Joy To The World,” “The First Noel,” and “Silent Night.”

The game lets you select one of four difficulty levels to challenge your pitch and rhythm accuracy. You can post your scores to the leader board and see how you measure up. There’s also a special exclusive video tutorial with David giving singing tips.

Purchase the iTunes Open Mic app for just $1.99. (Link will open the iTunes application on your computer.)

Or, if David’s vocals are too much of a challenge, try singing along with these crazy characters. haha!

Happy Holidays, Honeybees and Angels!

When I read the first line, my first thought was “yeah, right” lol. There is no way I will be able to sing where people will want to listen. But, then my mind started wandering and I thought to myself “what does it mean to sing like David Archuleta?” I don’t mean so purely and heavenly, very few would be able to do that. When David sings he reaches way down deep into himself, into his very soul, some people claim its like he enters into another dimension and just lets the music flow through him. That’s what it means to sing like David Archuleta! To toss all inhibitions aside and to reach way deep into our very soul and to allow yourself to truly feel the magic of the music. You’re right 3cota, the world would be a better place and that is a lofty goal, but one for all of us to aspire to. 🙂

Very good point lyrix. Have you ever watched David’s smile when he finishes a song? I’m sure you have but for me when I see that smile… after he has ‘entered into another dimension and just lets the music flow through him’ and comes out on the other side after the song… well, I just don’t know but that smile explains…to me…where David has been.

I’ve always loved his smile at the end. In fact, I’d get rather miffed every time AI would cut away at the end of David’s song. There’s something so tender with that smile. It touches your heart. I believe your last line helps explain why.
