How exciting that David will open tonight for McFly in the UK! He is the opening act and I’m sure will do a great job of winning over the UK and spring to the top of their favorite lists. He was great on Idol, though I heard he may have had a cold. He seemed so happy to be there, smiling from ear to ear!

David has already been a headliner in his own tour of the U.S., so warming up the audience for McFly won’t be a problem. He just turns on that mega-watt smile and opens up his mouth to sing and the British audience will melt.

I’ve read about his performance of “Touch My Hand” on AI, and all I can say is, he was the best singer on the show that night — even with a cold! I’ve tried to sing with a cold and I don’t know how he does it. David has great vocal technique in addition to his God-given talent. Of course, I hope he won’t have to sing with a cold too often, because it’s not good for the voice in the long term.
