Does Absence Make the Heart grow Fonder?

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Our human nature is such that we often don’t reflect on just how much we have to appreciate about those we care about until we are deprived of their presence. But when your heart-strings are pulled you’ll go to any length to be with that person. Absence makes the heart grown fonder it’s an old cliche’, but it’s true.

God has a plan for you and somehow you just know that that plan has a part of that person in it. There is no turning back, because they’re a part of you now and you can’t just let that part go. You won’t forget a smile, or what about the sound of their voice?

Francois Rochefoucauld quoted: As the wind will blow out a candle, but fans a fire, absence will diminish mediocre passion, but increase great ones.

Our passion for David Archuleta and his artistry grows everyday. There has been a constant flow of concerts, blogs, interviews and videos to keep us updated and connected to him. It’s the holes that are left when we are apart from him, his laugh, his smile, or when he encourages our spirits or the simple way he looks when he say’s Ahh…Thanks or Awesome! There is a part in a poem named Absence by Jill Eisnaugle that comes to mind:

Absence makes the heart grow fonder
I know this much is true
Although, the thought has made me ponder
A lifetime without you
If you were gone, I know I’d weep
I’d miss you terribly
Yet, your memory I’d always keep
You mean that much to me

David Archuleta means that much to me and I am confident to many others as well. Time will pass quickly and those Christmas concert dates we’re waiting for will be at our booking fingertips soon. Waiting on our world to change? It has already!

This is such a cute picture! X-mas always reminds me of sitting around with family sipping hot tea or sparking apple cider.
