David helped to send ratings through the roof on Nickelodeon!  “Crush Night” scored as the weekend’s biggest event for kids and tweens, with  iCarly “i Rocked the Vote” coming in as TV’s #1 show for this demographic for the week of 2/2/09 – 2/8/09.   True Jackson, VP “True the Matchmaker” posted double-digit gains, as did The Naked Brothers Band “Valentine Dream Date.”

Here’s a link to an article detailing this wonderful news:

It seems to me that some smart advertiser would take notice of this and get David to endorse their product, something nice and classy though no kiddy cereal or such. Or I have seen several requests for “The David Archuleta Show”. Hmm, that has a nice ring to it.
I hope the ratings are as high or higher for this weekend’s show.

David Archuleta is great TV. The American Idol ratings were great when he was its star! I hope he’ll make the occasional appearance, but I wouldn’t want a network to chew up his talent on a weekly show. I’m thinking of what happened to Judy Garland. Singers really need quality time to refresh their voices.
