When you listen to the song “Running” on David’s CD, right at the beginning of the song there is a female voice that whispers something before David sings. I have tried to decifer if but can’t. . . the only thing I am hearing is the voice say something like “mafia” but I know that’s not what she is saying. Does anyone know what the real lyric or word is?????

sallyb13… I think I hear ‘oh yeah’ with a smoky tone. I wonder if it really is David…? Could be? I’m going to listen with my ipod now and see if it changes any.
Yeap… I listened with my ipod and I’m pretty sure it’s ‘oh yeah’ or ‘ahh yeah’. Does anyone else hear something different?
Man, I feel embarassed if it’s David!!!!! Maybe that’s an indication I either need to get new earphones or my ears checked!!!!
It’s “Love you”. I don’t think it’s David. I love love love the crystal-clear high tone of David’s voice throughout this song. It creates and sustains the feeling of high energy which running would demand.

I’ve heard that it is MAFIA because of the recording studio, like was already said. Just wanted to add my understanding of it.
No sallyb13, I think I need my ears checked. I can’t believe it but the other night I really did hear ‘oh yeah’ in a whisper tone but just now I hear “mafia” just as plain as day. Sorry about this.
