Introducing the Pam Pike Photo Album!

I thought it would be great to feature many of the concert photos I have taken of David Archuleta this summer. I hope you’ll enjoy reviewing them. There are so many favorites I felt they all should be shared. Today is the appropriate time to post these as I needed David today. His tour will be ending in a couple of weeks and my ODD was starting to overcome me. Next week I will be leaving to see him at the Omaha, Nebraska show and hopefully the venue there will allow cameras so new photos can be shared. It will be interesting to see what holds for David in September and October. He will probably be busy concentrating on his Christmas Album and his Concerts. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention he will be touring November and December for his Christmas Tour.

Dates of those concerts have not been announced as yet, but I am hopeful there will be many and close to home for all to see. VIP Meet and Greets? Maybe! But until then we have these to enjoy!

DA Buzzing Song of the Week

Songs David Archuleta’s music has inspired so many people. His smooth velvety voice, and the way he is able to put so much feeling and emotion into a song, are true and rare gifts. It is something very special to behold, and I know David Archuleta has inspired me with his music. I think I can speak for many when I say, he has a way of touching people with his music.

From the first time I heard him sing on American Idol, and every song I have had the pleasure of listening to from him ever since, I have been touched. So, it is with great pleasure that I would like to share a song of David’s each week with all of you. Whatever it may be, I hope it will bring a smile to your face, perhaps allow you to take a walk down memory lane, warm your heart and maybe even touch your soul!

In honor of the one year anniversary of David Archuleta’s first single as a solo artist, the song for this week is “Crush”.

Hypnotized, so mesmerized…

“Crush” was written for David Archuleta by a team of writers, J. Cates, David Hodges and Emanuel Kirakou. It was produced by Emanuel Kirakou. It can be found on David’s first self-titled debut album, which was released by Jive Records in November 2008. However the song debuted as a single on August 1, 2008. Upon its release, it debuted at #2 in its first week on Billboard’s Top 100. The song “Crush” has also earned David his first Gold Record. It is an upbeat song about the excitement you feel when you are falling for someone. It is a song that any of us can relate to no matter our age, because most of us have had a crush one time or another. It is a sweet and simple song. Yet, when David Archuleta sings it, it is full of emotion and longing and those special first feelings of love!

So to commemorate its first anniversary, here is “Crush”:

I would also like to share with all of you David’s reaction to hearing his song “Crush” played on the radio for the first time, one year ago on August 1, 2008. His excitement and nervousness are rather sweet. He seems so humbled by the whole experience. It is priceless!

Cute post on Archuleta Fanscene – David attends Meet and Greet and gets annoyed with fan for using her phone cellcasting. Was playing Crazy on his keyboard and stops abruptly and asked the teen “What are you doing?”. Then returns to playing and singing softly, “Who do you think you are?”.

Marc who posted this blog said that Kristin the host said David is very concerned about people paying a great deal of money on these VIP Meet and Greets and feel it should be special and doesn’t want these VIP videos on YouTube.

David is always very concerned about his fans! Thanks for watching out for us!

Very cute and interesting article. Please read. Thanks.

COVERS – Paul McCartney

Maybe I’m Amazed – Paul James McCartney – 1970 – Released on Album Back in the USA Capital Records – 11/26/2002

Great song and I can definately see David doing this song, right up his vocal alley. A different arrangement with a lot of oohh’s and yeah’s and this would be a perfect song for him. My heart is already melting!

David should do other covers as he has the talent to make the originals look pale compared to what he can do with a song. Many more to come, I hope. So if all the rumors are true and David is asking VIP fans if they can guess this song while he plays a few cords on his keyboard, Lucky US, probably on his next album. Can’t wait!
