I know the news is out that David’s AOL Sessions are up and running and everyone will see, once again, what an amazing artist David Archuleta is. It struck me as I was watching them that these were done quite some time ago and it was the first time he had ever performed them before a camera. WOW! He sings them like he’s been touring and singing them for years! Imagine how he will sound as he goes forward from here. And the band is phenomenal – even better than I had hoped. Thank you all for being such great musicians! It seems David is blessed in every venture he undertakes and I am so very happy about that!

I am also happy to hear him talk about touring in the interview sections. I want to see him LIVE!! I’m one of the unlucky ones that did not get to go to an Idol show – pity me – I do!!! I also hope I will get to meet many other Archies and Honeybees when I do get to that concert!

So until that time I will continue to watch and enjoy these beautiful gems from AOL. Thank you David, thank you AOL.

This Thanksgiving Day started with David in the Macy’s parade and it ended with David’s AOL sessions of five songs from his debut album. Thank you, David, for these wonderful gifts. I love “My Hands” and “You Can” and the other three songs are going to be huge hits. “Crush” (already platinum), “A Little Too Not Over You”, “Touch my Hand”. If you haven’t seen these performances yet, go NOW: AOL live sessions with David Archuleta and his Band

Lip-syncing or not?

Do you guys think that David was really lip-syncing at the Thanksgiving Parade? I hate it but I missed it on TV… I had to work, yes! on Thanksgiving Day. (I’m already tired of work getting in the way of my ODD… and I’m going to figure out a way to correct this too! haha) Anyway, I saw the video of David singing Crush and I KNOW that David is really really good…in all things but I’m not sure he could lip sync as well as it appeared. So, does any body know? I read somewhere that he would be lip syncing and if he did it is very understandable… on a float and as cold as it was.

Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to all you great fans out there and I know we are all blessed because we have David and his music in our lives.

David Archuleta in New York with his Mom, Lupe!

It makes me happy to think of David enjoying New York City with his Mom, Lupe. I lived in NYC once upon a time and it is a magical place this time of year. I imagine them going to Rockefeller Center and seeing the giant Christmas tree and the beautiful angels along the entrance, lit up in celebration of the season. The store shops will all have the wonderful holiday displays and I’m sure gridlock has already run amuck in every intersection downtown! Maybe they will try out ice skating on the plaza or see a Broadway or Radio City Music Hall show. Plus, they will surely love the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with the non-stop music and floats and balloons that seem to skim the buildings and trees as they pass. If it’s a windy day, look out!

Whatever they choose to do I know it will be magical, because David Archuleta and New York City are two of the most magical things I’ve ever experienced in my life.

What will he sing from his debut album? “Crush” or “A Little Too Not Over You” or “Touch my Hands”? I can’t wait! I hope he and his mother Lupe have lots of fun and don’t get too cold.

NBC will broadcast the 82nd annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Nov. 27, and the network has just finalized the list of performers, which includes Miley Cyrus, David Archuleta, Kristen Chenoweth, James Taylor, and…900 clowns! The Manhattan-based festivities will be hosted by The Today Show and airs from 9 a.m. to noon EST — in all time zones.
