Dinner with David

This story gets better and better.  A week or so ago I happened to run across the posting that the Girls and Boys Club in Sandy Utah was auctioning off tickets to have dinner with David and 10 other lucky winners.  Well, I knew this was going to be popular.  As expected the sets of tickets were sold at a very high price at a Gala Dinner sponsered by the Girls and Boys Club.  One set of tickets was still being offered online and the bidding was slow the first few days.  So I decided to start bidding and of course they went sky high as all of David’s functions seem to go.  Well I tried to outbid but lost by a small amount  $100.00 as they went for a high amount and figured it was for the best.  After a few hours of trying to dry my eyes and concentrate on which concerets I would be going to I realized I was really bummed.  Shaking off a dinner with David Archuleta is hard to do and my ODD has been on overdrive for quite awhile.  Tonight I came home after work and was planning tomorrows day and still feeling sad that I have missed a once in a lifetime opportunity.   Watching American Idol wasn’t helping but there was just a smidge of David on the commercial for the Salt Lake City Auditions and that did make me feel better.

Yes this is long and I am coming to the point I promise.  On my computer tonight looking for pictures of David (HA! HA! really) I decided to check my e-mail.  OMG, I could not believe my eyes, I received a message asking me if I would be interested in buying one of the tickets for the Dinner with David.  The person that was bidding against me wanted to sell one of her tickets.  Through the tears again, I gave information for her to contact me and YES I bought the Golden Ticket to Dinner.  My head hurts from jumping up and down hitting my head on the ceiling.  My heart is pounding,  I tingle all over and can’t believe this all happened.  God does open a window  when a door seems to close.   I so much wanted to share this with all of my fellow Honeybees because when good things happen you want your family to know.

Will you fly to SLC or drive? Flying in to the Salt Lake Valley is an awesome experience. I hope you’ll have time to spend in Murray.
