Does Absence Make the Heart grow Fonder?

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Our human nature is such that we often don’t reflect on just how much we have to appreciate about those we care about until we are deprived of their presence. But when your heart-strings are pulled you’ll go to any length to be with that person. Absence makes the heart grown fonder it’s an old cliche’, but it’s true.

God has a plan for you and somehow you just know that that plan has a part of that person in it. There is no turning back, because they’re a part of you now and you can’t just let that part go. You won’t forget a smile, or what about the sound of their voice?

Francois Rochefoucauld quoted: As the wind will blow out a candle, but fans a fire, absence will diminish mediocre passion, but increase great ones.

Our passion for David Archuleta and his artistry grows everyday. There has been a constant flow of concerts, blogs, interviews and videos to keep us updated and connected to him. It’s the holes that are left when we are apart from him, his laugh, his smile, or when he encourages our spirits or the simple way he looks when he say’s Ahh…Thanks or Awesome! There is a part in a poem named Absence by Jill Eisnaugle that comes to mind:

Absence makes the heart grow fonder
I know this much is true
Although, the thought has made me ponder
A lifetime without you
If you were gone, I know I’d weep
I’d miss you terribly
Yet, your memory I’d always keep
You mean that much to me

David Archuleta means that much to me and I am confident to many others as well. Time will pass quickly and those Christmas concert dates we’re waiting for will be at our booking fingertips soon. Waiting on our world to change? It has already!

It’s David and Dylan for Christmas! Who would have thought that we would have two holiday albums—one from a teenage singing idol and the other from an elder musical icon. The music business can be full of quirky surprises.

Even more surprising, David Archuleta’s album is entitled “Christmas from the Heart” and Bob Dylan’s is “Christmas In The Heart.” Furthermore, both Christmas albums are set for release on the same day, October 13!

What about the album covers? We have yet to see David’s cover art, but it looks as though Dylan has chosen a very traditional look for his cover, complete with a horse-driven sleigh dashing through the snow. This will be the first Christmas album for both David and Dylan. It is David’s second album and Dylan’s 47th album.

It will be exciting and very interesting to hear Christmas carols and hymns from two amazingly talented recording artists.

Well, I am excited! My sweet little dachshund, Cauley  is going to be walking around the neighborhood and parks (with me of course) advertising how the Honeybees work for David Archuleta!

Pikepss and minja got me started with creating things on zazzle. First I created a calendar of David for 2010!!! And then I created a cute little tee for Cauley to wear this Winter. I can’t wait to get them both.

Acting Debut We know about David Archuleta’s musical ear, but he may very well have an ear for the stage as well. Less than five months after American Idol’s finale, David was on the set of the hit Nickelodeon show, “iCarly,” to tape an episode which aired on February 7, 2009.

iCarly “Crush”

For his acting debut, David Archuleta appeared as a character much like himself, a contestant in a singing competition. The 1½ hour special on Nickelodeon, entitled “Crush Night,” was perfectly timed to promote David’s first music video for his hit single, “Crush.” The iCarly show culminated with David’s first TV performance of “Crush.” The show also led to a rabid Internet search for the phrase ‘hob knocker’.

Two Thumbs Up, David!

Our Photo of the Week has David and Jennette McCurdy in the “iCarly” studio giving the two thumbs up sign. Thumbs up is one of David’s signature gestures. He inspires a very positive outlook on life. On October 13 David’s first Christmas album will be released. DA Honeybees plan to give David the two thumbs up sign to congratulate and thank him for his beautiful holiday music.

David's Face on Postage

David's Face on Postage

Just ordered a sheet of postage stamps with David’s face one them from Welcome to Photo Stamps.com. I can’t think of a nicer present to my friends on their Christmas Cards this year. Not only do you want to keep the Christmas Cards but the envelope with the stamp on them.

Mine have a beautiful picture of his face singing Apologize from the ones I took of him at his Las Vegas Concert. You can use any picture you want and then just upload and they will print out your sheets. The above pictures are just to show you the finished product.
