I dont know if you guys have seen this video or not but I just found it. I am so proud of him, he has come so far in such a short amount of time. I can’t believe he was told when he was younger he may not be able to sing again because of his vocal paralysis. now look at him now getting a GOLD record plaque!!!

These two videos are really cute of David at the Del Mar Concert!  The first one is a partial of some of his facial expressions and body language singing Barriers.  The second is the actual video someone took before the security bears took over.  This is just an example of the facial expressions and emotions David give his fans.  These two videos are not complete but as you will witness they don’t have to be.  He is so unaware sometimes how he captures his audience.  ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!  Pay close attention on the second video starting at 1:20.  REAL CUTE!!!!

Due to a scheduling conflict, two shows of the Demi Lovato/David Archuleta tour have been cancelled.

Portland Oregon – Rose Garden – July 13, 2009

Louisville Kentucky – Broadbent Arena – August 5, 2009

It’s hard to believe these shows were cancelled.  Speculation is that they just could not sell out the venue, but the promotion people said it was due to a scheduling conflict.  What conflict?  Has Demi scheduled something else for that time and day?  Interesting situation for both Demi and David.  We all know that David could fill a venue on his own, although there has been some dissatisfaction with the lack of being promoted on this tour.  Ticketmaster on some of their advertisements did’nt even have David Archuleta listed!   Perhaps more information will be forthcoming in the next few hours or days. 

To all of you who had tickets for those concerts, you will get your money back, but that doesn’t help the disappointment you must be feeling.  There are many other concerts still available; I wish you the best in getting replacement tickets.

Magnificent Obsession – Grandeur or Beauty, a persistent preoccupation with an emotion.   Many qualified and experienced journalists have written articles about David Archuleta and the connection he has with his fans.  Some even went so far as to say they could not explain it.  Well that’s exactly the point I wish to make, you can’t explain David – you have to feel David and until you can do that you will never be able to understand being a fan. 

Every photo of David Archuleta shows a different emotion – The Many Faces of David Archuleta – gives you a different reason to love him.  His warm and caring side to a small child with hope in her eyes and excitement in her heart when she hears his voice and finally receives the embrace we all would love to experience.  The endless smiles of appreciation every time he sees us at one of his concerts, and the endless promotion of other artists to enhance and enrich our music catalog.  Passion for his music, his faith, family and friends are the stepping stones of his character.  His look of maturity on stage has grown and yet the next moment he smiles with the shyness we so enjoyed on American Idol.

One picture never tells the story; with David you need to look deeper into his soul and you find many levels of emotions.   This is why his appeal is so vast—from a two year old with David Bows in her pigtails and jumping to Zero Gravity with her father to the older fans who want so much just to squeeze him.  He brings such joy and happiness to so many people, young, old, disabled, sick, girls, women, boys and, yes, men.  The husbands and boyfriends who stood by their mates are now tapping their feet to his music and slowly easing the bewildered look on their faces and replacing it with admiration.  David’s many faces have captured our hearts.  The following photos I hope show some of the emotions we all love and adore.  David Archuleta has arrived!!!!

This might be an ‘old kinda’ post but I still am enjoying David’s first album and just to think this Christmas we will have Christmas tunes from David—it’s …awesome! I cannot wait! Plus, we get another album in there too. I’ve been away from here a lot lately but just today I listened to David’s album and it kinda brought me back. He sure has changed but not really changed. I suppose you guys know what I mean by that!

PS: Sure wish I could go to the concert! I’d be sending in guesses every single day! This is so sweet of pikepss and robin711! What great fans of David you both are!!! And minja you’ve accomplished a great job with the contest! Good luck to the guys who can attend the concert.
