hello honeybees, my name is Anita and I am new to this site. I just wanted to say hello to you all and say that I am happy to be a part of your beehive! 🙂

I have heard a lot of good things about you guys.

I have been a fan of David’s for many years now and I cannot tell you how proud of him I am. I have loved hearing him sing from the first moment I heard him on Star Search and I’ve been wondering what he had been up to ever since. I was totally overjoyed when I saw him walk into the audition room for the first time on American Idol. Although I was disappointed he didn’t win as I thought he should have, I am extremely pleased that not only has he continued to sing but has gotten even better with time. I am also thankful that he is the same sweet humble young man now as he was back all those years ago. I can’t wait to see how far this amazing journey will take him, and I intend on enjoying it right along with him.  David for the Win!! 🙂

In a recent interview, David spilled the beans. Two new albums later this year! It’s so exciting. Christmas 2009 will be even more special.

Archuleta is set to perform at an event at the Rio Tinto Stadium [in Sandy, Utah] on June 6, 2009. Archuleta also revealed that he’s got two new albums in the works, one, a Christmas album.

He added, “We’re still trying to decide what songs might be best. They’ll probably be my favorite Christmas songs, and we might need to come up with more different approaches. The pop album is different, (because) you need to try to find what suits you best. I definitely want to get more involved with the writing….”

Archuleta also reveals that he’s a guy who enjoys spending time with his fans, in addition to singing at live performances. He said, “It’s the boring things that mean a lot to me. I enjoy taking my sisters to eat. Or sitting watching TV with my family.”

We’re looking forward to both albums being released, tentatively Winter 2009.

David Archuleta “When You Believe”

4 June 2009

David’s beautiful rendition of this Mariah Carey song has been buzzing in my head for several days. Just wanted to share it with you Honeybees and take a little trip down memory lane.

As our country has many problems and summer is almost here, these lyrics, included in the longer audio version, stand out for me:

In this time of fear
When prayer so often proves in vain
Hope seemed like the summer birds
Too swiftly flown away
Yet now I’m standing here
My heart’s so full, I can’t explain
Seeking faith and speaking words
I never thought I’d say

There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail
It’s hard to kill
Who knows what miracles
You can achieve
When you believe
Somehow you will
You will when you believe

10,000 bees crowd wing of plane at Mass. airport – Yahoo! News

swarm of 1000 bees at airport

The news report below says these honeybees may have been too tired to fly, so they hopped on the wings of an airplane. Maybe these honeybees thought David Archuleta was on that plane!

DANVERS, Mass. – Maybe these bees were too tired to fly for themselves. A gang of honeybees landed on the wing of a plane used for flight school training at Beverly Airport. At first, the 10,000 or so bees swarmed over the left side of the aircraft, then landed on top of the left wing. The owner of the flight center called police, who said to call local bee removal expert Al Wilkins.

Wilkins used a specially designed vacuum to suck the bees off the plane, and then relocated them to hives where they will produce honey.
