Says KylieWyoti, “This is a preview of my animated Elevator music video. This is 100% hand-drawn and took me about two months just to finish this first minute. Just further proof that I need a life….Anyway I’m posting a preview of this because I wanna know what you guys think before I go any further. Should I finish? Is it weird? Lemme know what you think!”

According to Rolling Stone and Billboard, the hacker collective Anonymous has attacked the website of copyright collection agency BMI as part of Operation Payback, their ongoing crusade against “copywrong.” BMI have temporarily taken their website offline in response to the group’s denial of service attack, and have issued a statement noting that the hackers were not able to breach their security and that it will resume its services to artists, publishers and licensees shortly. The music licensing agency is the latest target in the hacker group’s war against copyright.

We here at DA Buzzing are pleased to help spread the word about the “Music for Smiles” Gift Campaign. Stephanie, Danielle, and our own Honeybee Katie asked us to get the word out. “Music for Smiles” is a gift campaign to share David Archuleta’s album, The Other Side of Down, with children in hospitals around the country. We cannot think of a better way to bring a smile to a child!

Angels for a Cause is teaming up with more than 75 Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) hospitals—and YOU!—to give David’s music to children in hospital. The CMN hospitals will use the CDs for things like game prizes, birthday presents, a gift for a child going through a tough procedure, music therapy for anxious kids, and discharge gifts.

Here’s how you can help.

1. Purchase David Archuleta’s CD, The Other Side of Down (TOSOD).
2. Send the CD to one of the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
3. Email your name, state, and hospital(s) you shipped to, and how many CDs, to archangelcause@yahoo.com. They are going to update the fans as to which hospitals are still in need of CDs and will also be sending a list to David at a later date.

David Archuleta will be one of the headliners for the annual Stadium of Fire event in Provo, Utah this July. Country music star Brad Paisley will also be performing. Stadium of Fire entertainment has gone back and forth the last few years between a youth movement and its long-favored country music format. This year both interests will be served as country superstar Brad Paisley and American Idol favorite David Archuleta will be the featured entertainment on July 2 at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Hello David Archuleta fans!

This is Dean Kaelin, voice coach for David Archuleta. I want to thank you all for your support of David and his career. You have been great and David and all of us that work with him are so grateful for your support of David and his music.

I wanted to make you aware if you weren’t already that my daughter Anna Kaelin is a Country/Pop singer whose career is rising. She was on American Idol season 8 and has been touring since last Summer. We showcased her for some labels and music industry people in Nashville in October. She will be moving to Nashville full time in March so that she can really get things going.

The labels are very interested in her, but are sitting back and watching how her fan base develops to see if she can generate some buzz and excitement among the listening public. If you enjoy David I think that you would really enjoy Anna.

Right now she is in a “Battle of the Bands” contest. If you click on http://apps.facebook.com/rambotb/8-61-Anna-Kaelin.html, you can vote for her and watch her new music video. Today, Sunday, February 13th is the last day you can vote for her.

I wanted to reach out to all of David’s fans and see if they would take just a few seconds and vote for Anna so she can get into the top 10 today. It would help show the labels that Anna has the ability to attract fans. I thought it would be an interesting experiment to see how active and strong David’s fans still are if they could generate some excitement for Anna as well! It would also be great if you could join her fan club on Facebook (just google Anna Kaelin Fan Club). That way you could keep up with all she is doing and be a part of things as her star rises! You could be one of the ones that says, “Yes, I knew her BEFORE she was famous!”
